Sathi Sikhashram

               We believe that “Education” is the only way of changing society. But, unfortunately, today education system has become a big business strategy. As a result, poor but meritorious students are not getting quality education. Here, Sathi Sikhashram is playing a vital role in providing the quality education to the poor and willing students in Purulia district for more than twenty years.

               Early in 1997, a social worker, Late Mr Dhiraj Kumar Gosh gathered some school leave students and started to teach them under a shade. It spread through mouth and began to grow slowly. Then a hut of a kind man, Late Ram Lal Murmu, became the resident of twenty students and a teacher. This way, on 10th Dec 1997, Sathi Sikhashram, a non-profitable social service centre took birth with a promise of your companion. Students live here like in a Gurukul. They do everything for living, from growing vegetables for food to collecting firewood from hill for oven fuel. Along with formal education, they learn to become a true human being. After a long journey with poor financial condition, Sathi Sikhashram built its own home for resident and a registered school named CRS & RLM Memorial Vidyapith for formal education degree. Now, passed out students are working successfully in various private and government own organization.

                   After death of the founder, we, some formal students of Sathi Sikhashram decided to walk on our teacher’s shown way to achieve his goals. We are implementing our 20 years’ experience to prepare better citizen for a better world.
